Hello!

We haven't posted in a while because we've been very busy working on our newest project. For the past few weeks, we've been putting together a simple video, in hopes to get the word out about our cause. It should be out on this blog in about a week, so please stay tuned and check it out!

We're constantly trying to find ways to raise money for the microloans, but our most helpful sources are you guys! Currently, we have a total of $195 in microloans, each cent of which is going to small business owners in third-world countries. Every dollar is appreciated and so are all of our supporters! Thank you and we'll keep you posted!

UPDATE:

The Cloonan Kiva club would like to sell candy canes to raise money for our loans.  The candy canes would be sold for .50 cents each cane. This event will be held in the cafeteria during 6^TH, 7^th, and 8^th grade lunches. This fundraiser will start Monday, December 9^th. Thank you for your time and consideration.

We have our first loans!

We successfully provided microloans to all the people in the above picture! Keep donating so that we can help even more people!

UPDATE:

We've had 96 people vote for where we should donate to! The majority of the votes went to Africa, but we will be donating all $125 to all the regions. $50 will go to Africa, $25 will go to India, $25 will go to South America, and $25 will go to Eastern Europe. Thanks for the support and remember that you could always vote in the side-bar or in our ballot box, located in Mr.Forde's room. Thanks again and keep up the support!

We'd like to thank everyone for their support of our candy korn fundraiser. We had a jar of candy korn in the cafeteria and asked the students to guess how much was in the jar. The student who was the closest won the whole jar. It was a success! Altogether, we raised $125! We'd specifically like to thank Mrs.Mody for her generosity and support. Thanks so much!
